Dr Ghina Halabi | Cutting through the fog: Crafting and presenting a clear magnetic story (plus a short AGM)

Storytelling is a powerful medium that captivates our senses. Stories engage and create resonance. In this talk you will discover the elements and structure of narrative, and the value of a good story.

Ghina Halabi will present tools and tricks on how to present your story through a narrative lens and deliver a memorable talk, whether to the general public or expert audience.

Ghina is a space scientist, storyteller, gender equality advocate and mentor. She works at the Institute of Astronomy, University of Cambridge. She is the first person to obtain a PhD in Astrophysics from a Lebanese institution, the American University of Beirut, where she worked as a lecturer before coming to Cambridge. She is has been invited as the guest speaker at a number of international astronomy conferences, including the United Nations and TEDx. Active in public speaking and outreach, she founded “Scheherazade Speaks Science”, a science storytelling platform to make science accessible and promote the visibility of female scientist

A short AGM will follow, which you are welcome to attend.
