CamAWiSE is a partner organization for the Action Plan for Funding Agencies released by Mothers in Science on January 25.
Mothers in Science is a non-profit organization that advocates for mothers and caregivers in STEMM to increase retention of women in STEMM careers. This organization works to support, empower and increase visibility of mothers in STEMM and help organizations, employers and decision-makers develop evidence-based interventions and policies for promoting equity and inclusion of caregivers.
The Action Plan for Funding Agencies is an initiative led by Mothers in Science which has united individuals and organizations to amplify the voices of mothers in STEMM and request that decision-makers take immediate action and enact structural changes to 1) eliminate systemic barriers to the career advancement of mothers in STEMM and 2) create an inclusive system for caregivers in STEMM.
CamAWiSE is pleased to join Mothers in Science and 16 other organizations in this call to action to promote inclusion of caregivers and increase retention of women in STEMM careers.
