Research Associate: Highresolution X-ray Imaging – University of Hamburg
As a University of Excellence, Universität Hamburg is one of the strongest research universities
in Germany. As a flagship university in the greater Hamburg region, it nurtures innovative,
cooperative contacts to partners within and outside academia. It also provides and promotes
sustainable education, knowledge, and knowledge exchange locally, nationally, and
Duties include academic services in the project named above. Research associates may also
pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.
– Develop and apply high-precision wavefront metrology methods in the X-ray regime for
characterising X-ray lenses.
– Investigate the influence of physical deposition parameters and geometry on the optical
performance of X-ray multilayer Laue lenses.
– Investigate strategies to create X-ray lenses with a resolution of 1 nm.
– Develop software for the analysis of optical performance of X-ray lenses and imaging
applications using a range of X-ray sources.
